Ingredients:
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet
Slowly melt the butter and semisweet chocolate chips in a bowl that can go in the microwave
Stir the mixture every 30 seconds until it is smooth
Granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract should all be mixed together well in a different bowl
When you add the melted chocolate to the sugar and egg mix, make sure its all smooth
Mix the cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and flour together in a different bowl using a whisk
Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a dough forms
To use nuts, chop them up and fold them in
Put the dough in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes to make it easier to work with
Make balls out of tablespoon-sized pieces of the dough
Cover all of the dough balls with powdered sugar by rolling them in it
Leave some space between the dough balls when you put them on the baking sheet that has been prepared
After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the middle is still a little soft
Cool the cookies for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down
After the chocolate truffle cookies have cooled, put them in a container that wont let air in
