Ingredients:
- 1 lb pork belly, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons gochujang Korean red pepper paste
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions:
To make the marinade, put soy sauce, gochujang, mirin, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a bowl and mix them together
Make sure that all of the pork belly slices are well covered with the marinade before adding them
For better flavor, let it sit for at least an hour or overnight
In a skillet or grill pan set over medium-high heat, heat the vegetable oil
Once the pork belly slices are fully cooked and the edges are caramelized, they are done
Put green onions and sesame seeds on top to make it look nice
You can put the Korean Pork Belly on top of steamed rice or use it to fill lettuce wraps
