Ingredients:
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup hickory wood chips, soaked in water
- BBQ sauce of your choice
Instructions:
Get your smokehouse ready by heating it up to 107F 225C
Take the membrane off of the back of the ribs and use paper towels to dry them
Put brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl
Mix them together to make the dry rub
Spread a lot of the dry rub on both sides of the ribs to make sure it covers them evenly
Put the hickory wood chips in the wood chip tray in the smoker
Smoke the ribs in a smokehouse that has already been heated for three hours, making sure the temperature stays the same and adding more wood chips as needed
After three hours, brush the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce and smoke them for another one to two hours, or until they reach a temperature of 190F 88C
After taking the ribs out of the smoker, let them rest for 10 minutes
Then you can cut them up and serve them
